Product Description The Classic Controller is an expansion for the Wii’s Remote. It connects to the port on the bottom of the Wii Remote to allow for wireless connectivity with the Wii console. I just got through buying one of these under the belief that it was official, but upon receiving it, it’s nothing more than a cheap counterfeit.
As far as counterfeits go, it’s pretty close to the genuine article, but it has afew giveaways…
1.) The Official Nintendo Seal is nowhere to be found on the packaging
2.) Controller is lighter than the official ones
3.) D-pad, face buttons, and analog sticks feel very loose
4.) If you actually look at the product picture on this page, you’ll see that the controller is missing the Z1 & Z2 Shoulder Buttons, so that right there should be a red flag
In short, don’t waste your money on this counterfeit, especially for the higher price tag than an official controller.
If you want a Black Classic Controller that bad, then I suggest one of the folling alternatives.
a) Buy a white Classic Controller, a Triwing Screwdriver, and a can of black spray paint for plastic lawn chairs, take the shell off the controller, spray paint it black, then put it back on once it dries.
b) Buy a white Classic Controller and a black skin
c) Wait until April and buy a Classic Controller Pro in black
There’s actually a few things that gave it away. The plastic felt so cheap and the controller was so lightweight. I think that if it would drop, then the controller would crack or breal. Also the shipping. It came in loose bubble wrap packaging, no box or anything. Then the cord was really thin, not like the Nintendo Wii Remote cable that is not as thin. Also the buttons were really loose on the controller. I knew it was fake from the get-go. People stay away from this controller. It looks cool, but I believe that the Black Classic controller pro is coming out in the states so you will be able to get the official. Not this fake nintendo product.

Functions just like the nintendo brand. Had it for over 2 weeks now and not a problem.
