I have been using the CH Pro Throttle for close to a year now. I also have the CH Pro Pedals and CH Fighterstick. Together this IMO is the best HOTAS set up on the market. There are eight programmable buttons/pots on the Pro Throttle. I play IL2 1946 Sturmovik and fly for hours every day with no problems ever. The CH products are AMERICAN MADE and will out last their Asian built competitors products every time. My squad mates I fly with are always complaining about their Chinese products falling apart or some other tech issue. I have had NO PROBLEMS at all with my CH gear and strongly suggest you get the best quality hardware for your gaming enjoyment. There are plenty of buttons to map your games commands to and therefor eliminate the need to use your keyboard for flying virtually. Just buy the best and to heck with the rest of those Chinese cheap quality built flashy HOTAS set ups that will only last a couple of years maybe before falling apart. You will be glad you did in the end.

I don't need to use the keyboard anymore. In combination with the Fighterstick, I have plenty of buttons to map my Aces High programming!

I have been using the CH Throttle for many trouble-free years and now I have recently purchased a CH Products Pro-Throttle because gameport equipment is being phased out for USB. This is an upgrade from the original gameport version with more buttons and Hat switches and a sweet mini-joystick that can be programed with the Control Manager software. Tough and reliable, this item makes a great addition to any Flight Sim gaming setup. Team this item with a CH Combatstick or Fighterstick and Pro-Pedals and you have an unbeatable HOTAS system.

This is my first USB throttle Controler. Well I say it will be my last too. There is no other CH Products rock period. I can remember all the other joystick I have bought before and all the money I have wasted. CH is the only way to go. And no I don't work for them. I am a gammer and a flight sims pilot. With this throttle controler and there joystick, well all I can say is wow. It only made my flight sims even better. Well next stop is the rudder pedals. I want it as real as I can get. The price to me was high, but for the product it worth every cent. You can programs this throttle controler any way you want. But you should know how to set up flight sims games. This is for advance gamers. So be patient set it up. It rocks and right on CH Products. If it not CH Product, well it not a Flight Controller. Works great on my IL-2, Microsoft 2004, Lock On, Air War of Vietnam, Microsoft Firepower, and other Flight games I have. I high recommend this product.

It comes with NO manual or even a how to where to start, not one piece of printed material. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out all the buttons and sliders. The assumption seems to be that you know how to "map" a game controller without any help. Buy this if you are a tech person, if you are not a tech be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to learn. I sent it back after wasting a lot of time.
